Around: Peloton Magazine
Podcast Research, Interviewing, Production Planning
When bike sales spiked at the start of the pandemic, Peloton Magazine looked for a way to connect to the new growing audience of riders who biked for fitness, commuting, and fun, rather than their more typical audience of competitive cycling enthusiasts. Peloton launched the brand Around on Bikes. As part of this launch, I helped create a new podcast, Around, aimed at recreational cyclists and commuters. This podcast focused on helping new riders get more comfortable riding and commuting, while also touching on bike advocacy, bike safety, and bike infrastructure.
I regularly found subjects to cover, interviewed guests, and helped build podcast episodes. These interviews included conversations with city planners like those form Boston and Vancouver, bike advocates, and engineers helping to build safer cycling infrastructure.
